On February 28, Moldovan Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii had a meeting with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova Gudsi Osmanov. The two sides noted that the nations are in friendly relation and good cooperation. They also mentioned how the two countries enjoy mutual support within international organizations.
The diplomatic relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan were established on May 18, 1992. The sides agreed that further extension of bilateral interaction is important, and stressed that the upcoming visit of the Speaker of Moldova to Baku would give a fresh impetus to the partnership of the two nations.
According to the tradition of Moldova, Greceanii presented a Martisor to Osmanov as a symbol of spring’s return.
Meanwhile, Moldovan Parliament is carrying out a very active parliamentary diplomacy. On February 24, Speaker Greceanii went on an official visit to Armenia. She shared the reforms within political, legislative, and economic spheres within her nation and discussed methods to strengthen bilateral ties and business relations with the Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, President of the Republic of Armenia’s National Assembly.
