Speaker of Kuwait National Assembly Marzouq Al-Shanim met Yemini Deputy House Speaker Mohammad Al-Shadadi and the Yemini delegation.
Deputy Speaker of the Kuwait National Assembly Essa Al-Kandari, Members of Parliament Nayef Merdas and Mohammad Al-Dallal, and Yemeni Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Ali bin Safaa also attended the meeting.
Yemeni Deputy Speaker Al-Shadadi lauded Kuwait’s humanitarian aid including relief, medical and development assistances sent to Yemen as efforts to alleviate people’s suffering.
Al-Shadadi added that support for the health and water sector in Yemen has in particular much contributed to ameliorating the suffering.
From Kuwait’s side, Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer welcomed Al-Shadadi’s visit to the headquarters of the KRCS and expressed hopes that KRCS’s aid will contribute to ending the suffering of Yemeni people.
Al-Sayer also expressed gratitude for Yemeni institutions for their cooperation and Yemeni governorates for providing help to facilitate the Kuwaiti society’s mission.
In a meeting taken place during the Yemini parliamentary delegation’s visit to Kuwait, bilateral relations were discussed as well as other means to enhance the two countries’ cooperation in various fields.
