On November 25th, Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nicos Christodoulides paid an official visit to Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Marzoup Al-Ghanim.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral ties between Kuwait and Cyprus. Among the topics discussed were regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Nicos Christodoulides and Speaker Al-Ghanim discussed ways to further enhance the two countries relations.
MPs of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Askar Al-Enezi and MP Omar Al-Tabtabaie, as well as Kuwaiti Ambassador to Cyprus Waleed Al-Kandari attended the meeting.
During the official visit, the foreign minister is to sign bilateral agreements with Kuwait, and to meet the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
The foreign minister of Cyprus is also scheduled to consult with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The parties will sign an agreement on air travel services and an MOU for the reception of Kuwaiti citizens in case of evacuation operations, and for Cyprus’ assistance.
