On this day in 1978, Camp David Accords, agreements signed by Israel and Egypt, is initiated by Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar el-Sadat. Later, the Accords leads to a peace treaty between Israel and neighboring Arab countries.
